Mosquito Squad Supports Olney Relay For Life

Just a reminder that this weekend, June 9th-10th, 2012 is the Olney Relay for Life being held at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.

Mosquito Squad of Howard County & Montgomery County is proud to support the American Cancer Society.  The team we’re supporting (The Tailgaters) includes our own Colleen Swisher, Mosquito Squad Office Manager, who is in her 3rd year of participating in the Relay for Life.

Relay For Life is the largest cancer fundraiser in the world, raising over $4 Billion USD.  This year more than 3.5 million people in more than 5,100 communities will take part in raising the much-needed funds to save lives from cancer.

At all times, we will have someone walking the track to support the cure for cancer.  We walk all night long – They say “Cancer never sleeps”.
The relay begins with a free lunch for cancer survivors (and caregivers).  Then the survivors are asked to open the event by walking one lap around the track while participants honor and applaud them.

Mosquito Squad will be at the Relay for Life with our own mascott, Dread Skeeter. We’ll also be handing out free coloring books to kids.

The Tailgaters will also have some awesome gift baskets that are being raffled off. They have some fun outdoor-themed baskets including high-value items like luggage, gift cards, rolling cooler, BBQ cover, grilling mitts and special BBQ sauces.

We’re proud to support the American Cancer Society and sponsor The Tailgaters in the Olney Relay for Life, and  hope you will join us in donating to this worthy cause this weekend!
